The history of the Klammer family in Gastein begins in the year 1960. Hans Klammer, a born Corinthian and saw mill owner, actually only wanted to build a vacation home for his wife Adelheid and their family! Taken by the beauty of the Gastein Valley, he laid the foundation for a health and sporting hotel with plenty of pioneer spirit. He named the hotel KÄRNTEN (1962) in connection with his family roots.

Today the hotel and its familiar flair has been passed down to Hans son and his wife - Dr. Johannes and Cornelia Klammer and the long awaited grandchild Alexander.

The magic of the Gastein Valley with its hot thermal springs, unparalleled waterfall and mountain world, a part of the "Hohe Tauern" National Park, is known the world over.

In their lavish 4 star hotel, the Klammer family has made this power accessible to the guest in their new Wellness Oasis. It´s quite surprising how quickly you´ll find your center and feel at ease. Then it´s a cinch to show your best side – Athletically active and in good spirits.
